The data is gone: Pixel events, custom audiences, ad library. What may still be salvageable is anything genuinely separate — an unconnected BM, a personal Facebook profile that was never linked, payment methods and device infrastructure that were kept isolated.

Lessons for the next account:

Never bet the business on a single ad account. Always keep a spare warming up in parallel — low spend, low-risk, clean creative — so that when (not if) the primary gets banned, you have somewhere to land.

Treat ad accounts as disposable. Landing pages, creative and audience architecture should all be account-agnostic. Spending $400-600 a month on dedicated devices and residential proxies is far cheaper than one ban.

For media buyers running grey verticals as a matter of course — where bans are a recurring cost rather than an exception — infrastructure like DeepClick's Smart Cloak takes on the bot/human routing and the audit log layer, so that when you need to appeal, the evidence is one query away instead of something you reconstruct from screenshots after the fact.

FAQ

How long does Meta take to respond to an appeal?

The first response typically arrives in 3-7 business days. You may get an automated "we're reviewing this" reply within hours — that isn't a real decision. Real decisions come from a different queue. If there's no decision email after 14 business days, follow up once through the Business Help Center. Once.

Can I open a new account while waiting on the appeal?

No. Inside the 14-day cluster lookback window, any new account activity on a connected fingerprint reads as a continuation and triggers a fresh ban. Wait, restart on clean infrastructure, then begin.

What happens to Pixel data after an ad account is disabled?

As long as the Pixel code is still on the site, events keep collecting — but you can't access or use them while the account is disabled. If the ban is reversed, the data is intact and usable. If it becomes permanent, the Pixel data is effectively gone, because you can't migrate it to a new Pixel.

Will changing the payment method get the account unbanned?

No. Changing payment methods during a ban only makes things worse — it reads as an evasion move. After the appeal closes, win or lose, changing it is fine. During the appeal, it's a negative signal.

What's the difference between an ad account disable and a BM restriction?

Ad account disable: one ad account stops, the BM stays accessible, and other ad accounts under it keep delivering. BM restriction: the entire BM freezes, every ad account inside it stops, and no admin actions are possible. BM restrictions are more severe and reverse less often.

Is there a second chance after a permanent ban?

Effectively, no. "No further appeals available" means what it says. Occasionally an operator reports reaching Meta through a certified partner agency or a Facebook For Business sales contact, but the odds of reversing a permanent ban are too low to plan around.

Can you sue Meta?

You can, but Meta's TOS includes an arbitration clause and a clause reserving Meta's right to disable accounts at any time. There are occasional small-claims wins over unused ad balances, but recovering the account itself through legal action almost never happens.

How do I avoid the next ban?

Three highest-leverage changes. First, run account fingerprint hygiene from day one — a dedicated device per core business line. Second, build the landing page architecture so it can produce audit screenshots on demand, meaning your appeal evidence is one click away when you need it. Third, treat compliance as a product to build rather than an obstacle to route around — see the overall ad review approval framework in the complete Facebook ad approval guide.

1785922839305]
